Out of all secrets I’ve known
this is by far the most important.
happiness is just a state of mind
which can be relatively easily achieved.

Are you happy?  You may ask.
No, I’m not. I’ll answer back.
I have the best friends I met so far,
I live well, Im not a poor guy.
Not that being poor is something bad
But you see, shallowness rules the lands.

Why are you not happy? You ask again.
..I don’t want to be happy.  I reply.
For you see, sadness is too contagious.
One tiny tear on your friend’s eyes
and your happiness is done for the night.

So, I’d rather try to make my friends happy
and hope they listen to my secrets.
That way I'll finally be smiling, and
No tear will ever tear apart my heart.
